Covid-19 Testing

Testing in post-primary schools is important because staff, and students, without symptoms, could be carrying the Covid-19 virus and may spread it to others. Testing staff and students without symptoms will support schools to operate as safely as possible. Rapid tests, known as Lateral Flow Device (LFD) tests, enable us to test pupils and staff, without the need for a laboratory. A test result can be provided within 30 minutes and can pinpoint those who may be carrying the virus.

1. Giving Your Consent

Lateral flow testing kits will only be distributed to students whose parents have given their consent. If you have not yet given your consent, please read the agreement at the link below and then complete the online form:

2. Taking the Lateral Flow Test

Staff and students should take a lateral flow test every Sunday and Wednesday evening.

3. Reporting Your Results

Once the lateral flow test has been completed at home, staff or students who receive a positive test result must immediately report this to Mrs O'Kane at the College on 028 2563 0156.

If your test is void or if you miss a scheduled test, this should also be reported to Mrs O'Kane.

Staff and students should also self-report their test result on the GOV.UK website via the link below, or by calling 119:
